For a number of years now Brussels has been the target of a new kind of urban graffiti. On some thirty walls the city decided to depict giant frescos dedicated to the ninth Belgian art: Comic Strips.

In the Brussels Guide & Map distributed by Tourist Bureau a round trip leading to all these places is described, the "Comic Strip Trail".

Since I am no marathon runner, I split it up into three walks. The sequence of my pictures is not that of the guide and I missed some of the comic strip walls. It is not always easy to find them. Hint: From time to time turn around 180 degrees, e.g. to find the one shown here, when you come up the street from the cathedral.

"The Scorpion" created by Marini and Desberg illustrates the new school of Belgian comic strip.
